As part of the revision of licensing fees, the Department of Community Safety as the custodial
department of the Western Cape Liquor Authority (WCLA), has published the 2020 licensing fee
amendments in the Provincial Government Gazette. This process includes a public participation
period where all relevant parties are granted the opportunity to provide inputs.
The Government Gazette publication includes the proposed new fee tariffs, which is relevant to all
liquor license holders in the Western Cape. For the official documents pertaining to the fee increase,
kindly visit the WCLA’s website at www.wcla.gov.za, alternatively the published Regulations can also
be obtained by contacting their offices telephonically at (021) 204 9805 or via email at
Liquor.Enquiries@wcla.gov.za
The public participation period commences on Friday 16 October and concludes on Wednesday 28
